I grew up in a sexually and spiritually repressed religious tradition, discovered my sexuality and Buddhism at about the same time, and never looked back. I am fascinated with how sexual energy entwines with the spiritual.
Call me Thalia, and I am named after the Muse of Comedy in Greek mythology and translates to “flourishing.”
Nice work, Thalia!
From just the few posts I read on your blog, you’ve got a real talent living, loving and writing.
Your site came up on my Googled “sacred whore” list, so I’m mainly interested in your thoughts on sex as tool to effect change in a world which worships deities that condone genocide by weapons of mass destruction, and slavery of women in their tribes, or entire societies who are not.
After reading “cyber-sex pt. 1″ and skimming pt. 2, I felt you and I were alike in the ways which are important. We know how to give and receive pleasure and seek others like ourselves for that purpose.
The little bit I read about your husband was enough to know that your spouse is more like us than mine, which is of no moment to this intro, other than a means to disclose that which moves me to connect with anyone grasping the concept of the Sacred Whore in the same way I do.
For example, one woman has a partially completed porn-site touting the pornographic aspect of sex, which is exactly what I believe the Sacred Whore is NOT about.
There are a few folks out there but I’ve yet to meet any who consider the possibility of joining forces like Richard Dawkins is trying to do for the atheists, in a full frontal assault on the mean arrogant Dogmagicians who keep their sheep shaggy on top so there’s plenty of wool over their eyes, never able to see what’s really going on right in front of their grass-grazing noses.
It would be my pleasure to exchange info with you, and though it’s not a website per se, the url in that field will take you to where I’ve posted some of the free-flowing b.s. under my nom de guerre.
Thanks for sharing and caring, hope all your rides take you to your destination.
Carlos
Thanks for the intro, Carlos! Welcome to Sacred Whore!
I am currently on the mend at the moment. That’s the reason behind my absence lately, but once I’m back at 100%, I’ll have more to say about sexuality and my views on (again) uniting the mind with the G-spot.
Warmly,
Thalia
